In an effort to better understand guest behavior during the COVID-19 Pandemic, Enseo analyzed data from our E3® In Room Entertainment system. "Our research provides insight into the time spent on specific TV content categories across all hotel brand segments in all 50 states," said Vanessa Ogle, Enseo Founder, Chairman and Group CEO. "The pandemic has been particularly challenging for hospitality, and as the industry is adjusting to better meet the needs of guests, this data provides valuable insight for hotelier decisions."

Enseo’s Hotel TV in the Age of COVID-19 whitepaper, published in partnership with DISH®, reveals a 49.3% increase in TV viewership in occupied hotel rooms from Q3 2019 to Q3 2020. It also answers the following:

  • Do hotel guests notice HD quality TV content?
  • How important are streaming apps to guests in the hotel room?
  • Are traditional TV channels in hotels still important in 2021?
  • Are premium channels and apps important to hotel guests?
  • What can hotels do to increase revenue with guests staying longer in their rooms?
